The Distillers - Sick of it all (acoustic cover)

Check out my band at http://theshallows.se - Hung over and disgusting, what could be better than recording a video and posting it for the whole world to see? (Well, possibly a handful of people at least). This time it's the intro song to the album Sing sing death house by The Distillers. Brody Dalle kicks so much ass on it that it's not even funny.

New camera, new mic, new computer and new apartment. Did this using GarageBand and iMovie, but I can't say I'm very happy with either.

@jordanablaze Basically the chords are something like this: (D)Em (D)Em G DAD Em / Em G D Em / G D Em / Em (D)(F)(G) Em (D)(F)(G) G DAD Em / Em G D Em (D) Em (D) / E G D Em (D) Em (D). Since it's impossible to play the (D) with regular tuning I just halfass it and play the chord with all strings open. I play the (D)(F)(G) sequence as power chords for simplicity. And I actually think I got away with playing the E as an Em in this video.

Very good, solid singing voice. I hate to ask but are you just using one mic? Condenser mic? You should really make a quick video on how to do a simple set up to record acoustic.

@jamacaman14 Thanks! I use one mic (in this case a Röde K2 condenser, earlier videos used a Shure SM58) + the built in mic in the guitar. I don't know if I would have very much to say in a video about the setup though, but I'll think about it!
