Segment from the movie Step Into Liquid with some great shots of Papa Tangaroa,Papa and Motu Hava. Laird Hamilton, Dave Kalama, Skindog Collins have a blast surfing these waves.
I was born and raised in the island of Rapa Nui, this is my third year here in the united states, and i can say that one of the things i miss is the surf. of course i miss my people in the pachama tribes, and the culture, but one of the main things that makes home sick is the smell and warmth of that ocean
I'm just jealous of you guys and gals who live near an ocean...its been rough being somewhat land locked in the midwest! My quiver scowls at me each day saying..."Yo, when are we gonna get wet again man?"
Toumec, the irony of your ignorance makes me giggle. Have you ever been there? I have, talk to me after you get on a surf board and head over there. your world is small and lonely, unlike ours, you separate yourself from something that could change your life, but you are scared.
so before you judge surfers, maybe you should look into why your so upset with us? maybe because we have a real connection with something more powerful then you could ever imagine!
to everyone who is downing us Surfers.. get a grip we are one of the most serene and peaceful people you'll ever meet! (talkin soul surfers like mysefl) you say that we destroy becuase we are part of western culture? WRONG! we respect nature more then you EVER WILL!! Surfing started on Polynesian Islands almost 200 years ago... unless ou surf or are part of the surfing culture then you would have no idea what its like to have a truelly intamate relationship with nature!
« (Key 21) ... One of the newest of the discoveries of the earth is the existence of energy belts that gird the planet. ... sites of great power, like Stonehenge and the Sphinx, are also on these belts. At the intersection of these belts, there are great sources of free energy for anyone to use. ... Since all power centres or intersections of the Harmonics Belts cannot be controlled, this free power can be harnessed by Mankind. »

No one respects the ocean environment more than surfers. And I am not one.
