People don't seem to understand that is wasn't all about the drugs, it was about the lifestyle of that time. Its kinda sad really.

Greeting and salutations,
i am sick and tired of pricks like you putting backgroud music over clips of films that i want to show my friend, Mr Rowley. if i find out that you have done this in any other of your so called 'clips' then i will cut your toenails in your sleep, but i'll cut them too far down so it will cause you great pain and dispair.
yours not sincerely,
Mr Bottom Bottom 2 feet 'john' brazil nut, sheshnorman pennyfarthing, popped tyre, dog shit in between your toes smith II

bad song choice, there were heaps of great songs on the soundtrack would have been an obvious choice. Anyone who knows anything about anything would have chosen a better song

Since I have your attention...why did you record this song over such a great movie??

It's a fan/tribute video...pretty cut and dried...there's tons of them on YouTube. Sorry it's not to your liking, I hope you find something more suitable to your tastes.

I must say I agree with rynjms1, it simply does not compliment the era, style or 'feel' of the film; sometimes putting two things together which you like just doesn't work, a bit like wearing gym shoes with a Valentino suit.
But at the end of the day, it's your creation and you've done it to please yourself, not the youtube community or win to a contest, as long as you can shoulder the inevitable criticism.
The Doors, Iggy and the Stooges or some acid rock, even Hawkwind might suit better.

I didn't choose the song to fit the "feel" of the film. The video is meant to be a tribute video to the man, Hunter S. Thompson, using footage from a movie based on a book he wrote and in which the actor playing Raoul Duke was a dear friend of his. I chose the song because I like the lyrics and the frenetic feel of the song, which, in my opinion, mirrored Hunter's lifestyle. Nothing more, nothing less. Some of you are reading way too much into this.
