Because of licensing issues. All the series involved are owned by, like, two/three different companies in Japan. In America, though, the rights to distribute are owned by so many companies that getting the green light from all of them would cost so much money, you'd never make a profit. Anyone trying to bring the handheld SRWs over to America would be doing so as a labour of love that they -might- break even on. The fact that OG1 and 2 were commercial failures didn't really help either. ):

Gun X Sword reminds me a lot of G Gundam, though I still get a Big O feel from it too. In any future SRW game where G Gundam and Gun X Sword are both included, I wonder how Domon and Van would get along...
