my title bars went missing after running emerald --replace. what do i do

@z0m813p4n1c Did you run it through terminal? If so did you exit the terminal afterwards?

I type emerald --replace in the terminal box. The curser is flashing (has been for half an hour). When I tried to close the box down I got a message "there is still a process running message" How long does it take to run?

it sounds like more than just an emerald problem... you are sure you have video drivers enabled and you are typing this in a run box (not a terminal)? It should only take 5 seconds maximum (normally less for me)

NEED help wen i do the sudo apt -get -y install emerald it tells me !command not found!.... if it helps eny how am not using ubuntu am useing madriva

there is no space between apt and -get. It should read
sudo apt-get -y install emerald
