ok, well, in australia we have a voting system in which ALL australians MUST vote. that way the result created shows the absolute most popular and supported political party. which causes the government in one way or another to be a bit more honest. america is simply too powerful on a world status and thats the reason why it has so many problems economically - its too big for its own good. economies of scale create effeciency, yet americas huge economy is larger than its ability to produce goods.

I would encourage you to do more political research than the dictionary. I study political science and many of the things you have asserted are completely false. "tax relief through lowering the salary of senators".come on! They don't make that much. Stick to hypnosis. Your other hypnosis videos are really good. Just because you have opinions doesn't make you a politician. You made a lot of unfounded and ridiculous statements. Thanks for your service to our country, and the best of luck to you!

So true: I've had many conversations with a few people regarding how unnecessarily over paid politicians are. Being the President in my opinion should be looked at as an honor in my opinion, a service to this country. Now I know of one person who believes that the president shouldn't make any money during his/her term(s) but have everything else paid for, room, board, clothes, etc. Also, a politician in power more so than the people should undoubtedly be held accountable for their actions!!

you are correct... it is NOT a lot of money in the grand scheme; but, to me if three people can live a better life instead of me living a posh one then it is worth it! :)

Just saying that in terms of the Federal budget and the deficit, $250K is not a noteworthy amount. To me, $250K is a HUGE amount and would mean living comfortably for many years, but this isn't about me. I don't have an alternative plan to offer, so I'm content to go with your plan. Moving on - how are things in Iraq? Best wishes - B.

what could you buy tommorow with only $250,000 ???
thats alot of change... How much do you make?
Zeldon is entirely incorrect. Inflation is *merely* an increase in the money supply. what happens when the government inflates the money supply? the devaluation of the dollar, hurting those at the bottom the most.
I agree, Jefferson advocated a revolution every 15 years. the problem is that the pols have no stake in what happens when they spend fake money we dont have, they are only in power so long. the stake comes from the people. economics regulates the real world, nothing regulates govt.

I agree... :)
Thank you for the comment on Thomas Jefferson, I had not heard that one.

Hey Jer,
Been admiring you for a while now. Love your channel. But as someone who is working on a degree in international politics and economics, I just wanted to correct you on one thing. In a globalized world, inflation results from a complex interaction between interest, investment, and savings rates, trade and tariff policy, current account balances, and foreign reserves. Simply printing money is only a tiny part of it. And cutting government salaries doesn't mean they'll print less.
Peace!

the government OBVIOSLY has no intention of paying off its debts. I would go so far as to say that next to no government does. Furthermore, while a world market has the potential to stimulate the local economy... where do you think that money goes? Into whos pocket? Tariffs? thats not money that you or I are EVER gonna see... The government has more power than it should and WAY more than it will ever need.
