The Occupy Providence movement, once again sets an example for the nation,
Rhode Island, the smallest state in the union, under the shadow of the Independent man, Roger Williams http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Williams_(theologian) moved out of the Park and into City Hall.
On the two month anniversary of the Occupy Wall Street movement, the peaceful and non-violent movement in Providence, RI persuaded the City Council to introduce a resolution expressing support for Occupy Providence to stay in Burnside Park expressing their First Amendment rights.
Councilman Luis A. Aponte of Ward 10, who initiated the resolution, told colleagues Thursday night: "This is what democracy looks like. These are people ...who still still believe in the promise of America."
