@arrogantworms1 I had court jury duty with Bun.s wife 3 years ago and we made her jury foreman.Nice gal said the band was on the road all of the time.

Perfect representation of a road-weary but articulate Rick--on his toes and at his best--you can tell the two Steves like the him but have to ask a few cheesy questions to keep it punchy..

@Ken5244 Well-said. As I was watching the interview I thought to myself "what a couple of douche-bags these two interviewers are. Stupid questions, stupid statements". Like you said, comparing Cheap Trick to KISS....WTF? Was he suggesting that the band was ripping off KISS or what. What a couple of dildos-brains.

Some people wonder why so many artists dislike doing interviews. Well, this is why. These two interviewers are unoriginal geeks, asking the same cliche questions that every rock interviewer asks and misinterpreting what the band & music are about. "It's still that sort of slick rock n roll package that gets people in" (comparison to KISS). Huh? CT was not a packaged 'image band' in any way. I applaud Rick for not getting up & walking out, 'cuz I probably would have.

When I was 11 we took a vacation to Dallas in 1982. My dad had been in the workout area, and he came running into the hotel room. Hurry up! Rick Nielson is down in the workout room!
We go down, and here's Rick Nielson. My dad had asked him if he could please wait while he goes to get his kid for a picture. Nielson, done working out, waits 10 minutes, tired and sweaty, for this stranger to get his kid. Rick put his arm around me and dad took a couple of pictures of us. Super nice guy.

Rick's a hero of mine.
Awesome guitarist, underrated songwriter, and a guy who presented himself as the court jester/ oddball which brought a perfect visual symmetry to Cheap Trick. Long Live Rick Nielsen !!!
