My brother does a takeoff after being hooked up to the tow rope. He flies aerotow in a 2-33 behind a pawnee towplane. You can see the release and tow plane landing. Then the video ends with his landing in the glider.

  • the schweizer 2-33 is the first and only aircraft I've ever soloed in so far. It's an amazing aircraft, and it lifts like a feather.

  • Like a feather? Are you kidding me?

  • The 233 is just a brick with wings.

  • It doesn't have great penetration not only compared to other gliders but just in general... and also you don't generally use ridge lift to climb... Still it is a fantastic glider and it is very fun to fly. It does climb very well in thermals I will say

  • absolutely, although it has poor penetration compared to other gliders, it excels in gaining altitude from thermals and ridge lift.

  • i love you too.

  • I soloed today! This video only a week before today

  • falling out of the sky.
