Packrafting the upper Anne River in Southwest National Park, Tasmania, Australia.

At its steepest the Anne drops over 400 feet/mile. Paddling out the Huon River (0.5 m at Tahune Bridge & 0.75 m at Judbury January 16, 2010) was painfully low.

Boaters include Bill Hatcher, Cody Roman Dial, and Roman Dial

  • We should start using the climbing ratings for low-water rafting. That looked like a 5.8 descent.

  • @lucmehl Yep, that's about right, making Upper Bird 5.11, Upper Willow 5.10 and Magic MIle 5.9?

  • Yup, your crazy! Wish I could join you for the Franklin. Have a great run.

  • @forrestmccarthy What happened to your paddle on the Waiau? And the Karamea -- get what you were after there? In the video you looked cool and controlled.

  • My Werner Carbon Fiber failed at the mid-joint. Jerry rigged and still had a good run on the Waiau. The Karamea is a NZ classic. I would do both them again.

  • Looking at this vid, one of the recommended vids on the right is "party in the USA" by miley cyrus... And that piece of shit has 200 million views while this gem of a vid has less than a thousand when i write this.. What does this say of the human race i wonder.
