The dumbbell row is an excellent exercise to strengthen and add size to the latissimus dorsi. It's important to get a full stretch at the bottom of the movement in order to work the muscle fully. If not, one will not gain desired results.

  • thx for the vid! I've also been told to do this exercise as replacement for both pullups (since I cant do these at home) and armcurls (these hurt a lot, but I've only a 20kg dumbbell & that's too heavy for curls atm)

    soinstead Im gonna do DB rows with that 20kg dumbbell :)

    but why is it important to get full stretch??????
