  • They were so young when they wrote this music and listen to how technical, melodic, and beautiful it is. I just wish the band kept this momentum instead of going into mainstream directions. Any one of them could have did that with a solo project but, Genesis should have been the artistic outlet it started out as. I know some may disagree with me but that is how I feel. I love their 1970-1977 period...

  • its amazing that the band during trespass

sounded so good without collins and hackett and still keep that great genesis sound...one of my favorite albums....

I like that medieval feel to the music

  • Such haunting music. One of my good friends was deeply into this music back in the day. I was peripherally interested. It sounds damn good to hear it all today. Glad I could hear it with better ears now. Simply wonderful.

  • @DuketheFish73 Yes, Anthony Phillips was a special talent in his own right.

  • You like the medieval feel, listen to Supper's Ready on Seconds Out, also by Genesis, though you must have already heard it if you're listening to Trespass. Until today, the only song I had heard off of Trespass was The Knife. I was always a huge fan of Genesis, but I had never heard much of Trespass, as my dad (from whom I get all this great music) does not own the album (I had heard The Knife on the Fourteen From Our Past album). Now, Trespass is my second favorite album, next to Seconds Out.

  • I would say that the composition of this album is dominated by Anthony Phillips.

  • Peter Gabriel brought the theatrical effect and the class

Phil Collins brought the rhythmic complexity

    Tony Banks brought the virtuosity

Steve Hackett brought the progressive world...

    Mike Rutherford brought the band

and Anthony Phillips brought the English charm and the pastoral universe that typifies Genesis

Indeed, he brought some of the most important thing that made Genesis look so unique

  • @amakrid Yes. I was being sarcastic. The vocal melody (at least the first couple of bars) is clearly lifted.

  • fottutamente grandiiiii!!!

  • i love this song

  • I dont know why this Album is considered to be not very appreaciated ?
