  • The best Mozart EVER!!! My dearest Maestra, what to say! I will try not to cry any more, but listen always your words, your superb pianistic and poetic advices and be sooooo fantastically proud that I was your proud and infinitely proud pupil and friend. I will be with you forever and I will carry on with respect and honour all you have given to me - the biggest fortune in my life! Infinitas gracias mi queridisima, hermosa, talentosa, unica, inolvidable maestra!!!

  • Alicia est unique! Quelle artiste!

  • Bravo! I never heard this lady play till now,...i too hope she is jamming with Mozart!

    R.I.P.

  • Superb!

  • Actually an elegant, aerial and bright Mozart... I know she recorded a lot years ago the 5 Beethoven Piano Concerts in London, but I never founded, perhaps the will put in catalogue again.

Being former student of her Piano academy in Barcelona I could hear some of them... They were simply perfect.

Ill miss you Alicia, wish youre playing now for Mozart himself

  • The last movement of Mozart's last piano concerto -- merry, bright, delicate, haunting, endearing -- ever young.

What a perfect choice to say "farewell" to this extraordinary pianist! Like Mozart, himself, Alicia de Larrocha will live forever in the hearts of all who love and appreciate Beauty.

  • Thanks for posting this.

    Brilliant playing.

  • Such technique, and such musicianship. So light and delightful. She is well matched by this orchestra.

  • Wow!

Why is it, that I don't see these amazing stars of music until AFTER they have faded?

She's so grandmotherly...and looks like she would teach you piano better than your piano teacher...warm and gentle on the keys.... :)

RIP Sra. de Larrocha! I wish I got to hear you sooner! :(
