Some footage of Street Fighter II for the Sega Master System. I had to split it into two parts because I didn't want to edit it; this is the second part.

Here I defeat every opponent only using the kick attack. Goes to show how horrible the AI is.

I just love how only every other hit takes anything off the lifebar, and how all the characters are levatating over the ground. Classy. Boy, those folks at TecToy are sheer genius! *sarcasm detector explodes*

  • he was not programed to block :)

  • @icgd1337r Even other people on the video are saying it looks amazing. This video here doesn't show what it really looks like. Type in Street Fighter II (M.Bison Campaign:

  • @icgd1337r Check out the video called: Street Fighter II (M.Bison Campaign: Part 2)

It shows the NON pixlated version of the master system game and it looks AMAZING. IT blows the Nes version to pieces on graphics.

  • @ojideagu They didn't even bother to make any kind of dithering or anything to make the graphics look more natural. Of course, the NES has its own limitations, but the bootleggers at least downscaled the sprites and made things look like they should be. Even though the result didn't look as exact, it looked much better.

  • @ojideagu You might have misinterpreted my comment.. the graphics in this port are sufficient and I noted that the 8-bit CPU is not at fault here. The PC Engine and SNES have more powerful graphics chips, yes, but this port isn't showing any problems that I would attribute to the VDP. It looks rushed - it's possible that they ran out of ROM space for code, too, that always hurts. (SNES also has a 16-bit CPU, the 65C816. People are forgetting their history here. ;) )

  • @tursilion The PC Engine and Snes versions also run on 8bit CPU's. They showed what a difference custom graphics chips can make.

  • @Carbon657 Technically the PC Engine/Turbo Grafx16 and SNES were also 8 bit machines but had the best conversions! Ok they had graphics chips helping a lot too lol
