A brief introduction to some atmospheric Methane data sets and visualisations. The data spans from Antarctic Ice Core records from 800,000yrs ago through to recent global ground based measurements and the latest high resolution global satellite measurements from SCHIAMACHY on ENVISAT. Data sources are NOAA "Paleo", with animations from NOAA ESRL and the collaborative efforts of the Globalview team, whilst the final images and animation are from the University of Bremen.
