Well I've had my X3L for 3 days now and I have not been able to create a good clean tone that will cut through the mix with my bandmates. The best tone I've managed to create still has a very muddy low end sound, and also a high end that is too bright. I am also plugging directly into a PA, have any suggestions to creating a great clean tone that will hold up in a full band situation?

Sure why not. Your sound will be much more full.

Forgot to mention, I'm only using a single output to the PA at this point. Should I get a second cable and use both direct outs with some dual tones?

I leave that up to the sound engineer. Usually flat though.

Wow fast reply, another quick question if I may. Do you use any of the audio controls on the PA itself or is it all pretty much "flat?"
