Denna, i know you said friends are for the helpless , but you needed a friend the most, You could have changed and i know you would have. I wish you hadn't died. I believed in you .

Wow. I love the story you've told here and the perspective you show of the Mord Sith as victims like everyone else. Nice!

@AnnaGiuliaFiction Yeah. . . I really don't think they would have gotten any better in season 3. Poor things.

... things that need to be cut down, places of only instrumental where things need to be plugged in. . . stuff like that. This is the rough draft of my video. I have the story I want to tell and I can start playing around with where I want certain clips to start. It's within THESE clips that I finally start caring about internal movement. If you don't worry about it until you're fine tuning--it makes it a lot easier and you don't HAVE to go back through every episode or really know the show. :)

@AnnaGiuliaFiction The way I do IM is first of all listening to the song MULTIPLE times before putting any clips to it. I typically put it on repeat for an hour or two while doing other things. Doing this allows the song and its beats to become second nature to me. Then, I focus on matching up clips with lyrics--often on paper before I cut a single clip. This allows me to know the story I'm telling with my video. Once I've planned this, I cut the clips and put them into place. Often, there are

... doing it that way. . . but I DID have a problem with lingering too long on beats and for a while, I felt like I was missing some skill other vidders had.
I think the reason R/K does keep its excitement in the show is because it's the same problems the entire time. At the end of book one. . . Kahlan confesses him--but he gives himself freely to BE confessed. . . and so her control is not overpowering. He remains himself but they're able to love freely. That allows for SO MUCH MORE growth.
I love the Mord Sith. . . especially in the books. I feel that they really steal the show. Richard and Kahlan start off as good guys--undoubtedly good--and they change others for the better. . . but I think the story really is more about how the world and others are changed than about Richard and Kahlan themselves. Because of this. . . the Mord Sith are a fantastic choice of focus. They have so far to change and so much to relearn about the world and so much pain to overcome. Apt choice of song.

PS: I think this is a fantastic tribute to them. Perhaps a bit trippy in the editing. . . could have done with a an every other beat change instead of every beat--but it's far from a horrible vid and I'm far from an expert. ;)

@MarianFrae Hey, thank you SO much for your comment. I love to get feedback such as this :D I agree with you on the Mord'Sith being the most interesting part of the series & books. I'm utterly in love with them and even tho I used to love R/K's story as well, it kind of lost appeal with the start of s2, I don't know why. In the books TG managed to keep it alive & interesting, but I in the show it really went from awesome to cheesy! As for the editing, I agree on that too. But it was a time when

@MarianFrae ... when I thought that a video was only good if every beat was "transported" to clips and effects. I got over it luckily. It was fun to edit that way and I used to find it very pleasurable to watch in fanvids in general, but then I started finding it boring and not very challenging. I haven't vidded much lately because I can't seem to find the right pacing to make the clips fit the beats, but not each and everyone of them. It may seem easier, but it's kind of more difficult lol

@AnnaGiuliaFiction lol. I know what you mean. What I've found to be a fun challenge in my editing is to find internal movement that can match the beat. If you look at my vids closely--especially the two long Doctor Who ones--you'll find that a lot of time. . . I'll have the clip stay the same for multiple beats but someone will move within that clip right on time with the beat. I've never really had the problem of changing clips too quickly. . . probably because it's harder to tell a story when

@MarianFrae hehe I tried doing the internal movement thing, but it's just not in my veins, I'm afraid. I should "study" more the clips and the beats to do that and I think I lost all my patience on books lol I'd love to be able to vid with internal movement, but I just don't know most of the shows I vid well enough to and I guess I'm too lazy to re-watch all the episodes to find the perfect match for music and pace. I'll find my way, one day or another :) And yeah show's R/K didn't have a chance

@MarianFrae ... to become the epic couple they are in books, I'm afraid :( with season 3, maybe, they would've become more interesting and developed characters as they were in season 1, but if we don't get anything, I guess, in my mind, they'll forever stay the boring cheesy romantic bunnies they have been throughout all season 2! LOL
