Put it into DFU mode and press shift restore browse for the 2.2.1 firmware restore it then jaibreak it after ur done keep u iphone like that till i make another video on how to jailbreak the last offical realese it better than the beta's (duh :p)

Thank you so much , I did download the beta firmware using firefox and i got the firmware in the right formate but now after releasing the official OS 3 ....my Question is.........Is your technique to unlock and jailbreak would be effective or I should wait.....??????!!!

what if you restored it before you got it locked and then tried to unlock and jailbreak it. will it still work because i am getting the 1601 error everytime i do it with the 3.1 firmware.

My sim card in my 1st generation iphone says 3G on it. The sim works fine in the phone. Had a couple provisioning problems with at&t when I first put the sim in. It is now all corrected on their end. Do you think it would be wise to try this procedure with this particular sim card in the phone? I just got a new phone and wanted to unlock and jailbreak this one to sell. Perhaps I should buy a new sim card for the 1st generation iphone to avoid any complications? or just try it w/ the 1 i have??
