With the progression of the baby boom generation reaching senior status, focus on the health challenges facing that generation is receiving greater attention. For women, entering the menopause and all that can be connected with it, there can be several challenges. For millions of women transition to and through the menopause goes without effort, but for a select number of women this transition is anything but smooth. In fact it can be living hell. The hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, depression, and vaginal dryness, to name few, can make life very uncomfortable. For this reason, tens of thousands of women have sought relief by using hormone replacement therapy. Recent studies have shown, however, that HRT can be very dangerous. The dangers of HRT will be discussed shortly. Because of these dangers, many women have been looking for natural menopause relief through natural menopause remedies. The nutrition field has been able to come to the rescue by providing natural menopause supplements that have been effective when used as an alternative to potentially dangerous HRT. These natural menopause solutions will be discussed shortly as well. As the ovaries cease producing key sex hormones the female body begins to enter the menopause, the period of declining menstruation. As the ovaries produce less and less sex hormone, the adrenal glands are designed to step up to the task and begin producing small amounts of sex hormone, enough to maintain bodily function but not enough to re-introduce ovulation and menstruation. The role the adrenal glands play in natural menopause relief is vital. If the adrenal glands are stressed, due to prolonged anxiety and excess stress, they cannot effectively produce adequate sex hormones and natural menopause solutions will produce less than satisfying results. Any program that wishes to offer natural menopause treatment must consider the role of the adrenal glands in this process. The use of hormone replacement therapy, or HRT, was the standard accepted protocol for most women of the menopausal years. Large clinical studies over long periods of time, have recently shown us that what women were being told about the benefits of HRT or hormone replacement therapy, was in fact, totally wrong. We were told that HRT would reduce a womans risk of heart disease, gallbladder problems, stroke and many forms of cancer. The facts revealed by these large clinical studies have shown us just the opposite. Women taking HRT such as Premarin or Prempro and others had as much as a ten-fold increase in heart disease, a fifteen-fold increase in gallbladder disorders and an almost epidemic increase in breast cancer! The late John Lee, MD, was among the first to point out the dangers of HRT or hormone replacement therapy, revealing the fact that most women in the menopause with typical symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes, mood swings, night sweats, vaginal dryness and depression, were in fact, estrogen dominant. By using HRT or hormone replacement therapy that was primarily estrogen, you simply made their chemical imbalance worse and put them as high risk for many health problems. Lee went on to further explain how since these women were estrogen dominant what the really needed was progesterone and not more estrogen. Any natural menopause treatment therefore must address the progesterone levels of the womans chemistry. In fact one of the leading complications of the menopause, vaginal dryness, is almost exclusively caused by a deficiency of progesterone. The other symptoms such as hot flashes, mood swings, depression and night sweats can also be addressed with the addition of a pure progesterone cream, applied topically on a daily basis. Progesterone cream is easy to use and completely safe as illustrated by Dr. Lees work. By eliminating the estrogen driving drugs such as Premarin or Prempro, women can avoid the many risk factors associated with these drugs.

I have the occasional hot flashes and along with exercise at Curves and other phoenix nutritional supplements for my general health, this is a supplement I consider of high value. I refuse to take any drug to address my pre-menopausal symptoms and this is the best treatment so far of different ones I've tried. So for me - this works!" See us at Curves Woodside, Fleetwood, Pa
