Played this on my d'Aigle harp with African paduk wood. By using different picks, I am able to change the sound within the song merely by changing fingers - this song, I used a steel on my index, brass on my middle and a nylon on my ring finger. My thumb pick is plastic. Listen how the sounds change. I'm having problems with the sound portion of my videos. When it comes to compooters, I play a good autoharp! Can't figure out why the sound keeps messing up, or going off altogether. Best I can do for now.

  • Bill,

This is beautiful! I used to think I could play this song...not anymore! I want to play it like you do! Do you use your fingernails only? Janet

  • Janet, as I said in my explanation, I use four picks. Some songs I use fingernails only, but didn't on this one. Bill

  • Wow! What beautiful playing. Your style is a lot like what I'm trying to do. I'm just not as good as you though. Thanks for posting on here. It really helps me learn to see work like yours. (Also, I've always loved that song and I believe the words are as beautiful as the music.)

  • Very nice!
