  • Hi Simon

I have just got hold of a second hand kiln - it is hardly used but although I have the download instructions.. the sitter is foxing me.. I have a lot of knowledge about frontloaders but this is a toploader and only a hobby one.. they talk about a weight and I haven't got a clue where that is supposed to be.. this is a very simple kiln.... apparently. I have downloaded the basic information but there are no visuals!Help! I think you had one in Spain, similar

  • How long are you in the states? Is this your new studio...are you stayin' ?

  • These are the things that hold me up and I am so glad you pointed this out. I get in the studio and think .. I need to do something about that... you have inspired me and tomorrow I am making a visit to Q and B

  • I use plywood also, although not as many as you do. Do you miss using your old leach wheel, Are you going to get one for your new studio?

  • thanks Simon. So True what you say...

  • Simon

great to see you posting again on a regular basis. Don't you know we go through withdrawals??? lol

Looks like you are setting up home in NY. Are you there for a while?

I need to make a trip to Home Depot and get some boards, I like your idea that having empty boards will cause me to throw more...

    Mark

  • I use the exact same boards. Regular pine boards I've used in the past warp, then you sit the pots on concave, convex boards. I think I used white pine vs. yellow pine though...

  • Simon,

So, I probably missed it, but, why are you here in the U.S.? Are you moving here?

  • I'm heading to Home Depot :)

  • I use pine boards (shelves) from Ikea, maybe even cheaper than plywood!
