I never thought Pantera was bad, i actually enjoy listening to Cowboys, and The Great Southern Trendkill, but Vulgar and Far Beyond was far beyond boring for me. . . actually it was Dime that inspired me to pick up a guitar, i practiced for literally four monthes and got no where. But now i play drums, thanks to Dave, George, and Derek. Anyway, my point is, is that these are two heros of mine, that helped me to become some sort of musician. That being said, i would like to say that both Dimebag and Chuck will be missed. It is sad that two of the most influential guitarist of metal during the 90s died young, and both by causes to which they had no control.

  • This video is infested with Death fanboys I can see. Both were unbelievable, and can't really be compared, but to put down Dimebag Darrell like that.....you aren't real heavy metal fans. He put more feel and raw emotion into his guitar playing than any technical death metal guitarist, or any other guitarist for that matter. Chuck never wrote anything like floods...

R.I.P to the two greatest metal guitarists of all time.

  • @xXThrashyRashyXx I must disagree for the simple fact that i have a strong sense of emotion when listening to the Sound of Perserverance album by Death. The songs on their are full of power and emotion. Not to say that Dime can not emote anything just i feel that chuck does it better. But Domination does get the blood pumping so does Reprise.

  • @xXThrashyRashyXx Chuck wrote "Voice Of The Soul". Your argument is invalid.

  • @TheRedHorse666 i agree

  • There is an even level of emotion put into both of their guitars, and theyre playing/shredding skill is undoubtedly incredible and very close if not equal. Although when it comes down to it, i would have to give it to Chuck, Chuck inspired gods like Muhammad Suicmez while Dime's legacy comes down to bands like Lamb of god and A7x, who i like yet don't compare in talent to Necrophagist and Muhammad

  • both very very awesome..but its chuck all the way.. \m/ \m/

  • Chuck

  • Well, i guess those two fellows have to enjoy their own creativity each other, where they are \m/

  • it seems that when one becomes very familiar with both Dimebag & Chuck, they prefer Chuck.

    it's easy to see why

  • @85Aheadstix

Really, they aren't, are you sure you're not thinking of some other band? Sure the last couple of albums weren't really death, more sort of industrial metal, but everything before bloodrunk was melo death or sort of black/death cross. They really aren't mainstream, believe me, mainstream would be trivium or disturbed or slipknot, but definitley not COB...

  • @XXArmsOfNukesxX Pfft!, please!!!, Children of bodom are part of the whole "scene" metal thing, i dont listen to that shit mainstream metal.

  • @85Aheadstix

Deathcore? someone hasnt done their research, they're melodic death metal, dont know what made you tink they were posers?

  • @xXThrashyRashyXx they were both smokin' guitarists with their own style and legendary greatness in their own feelings in which, isn't that where music comes from anyways is emotions?
