Lemme see--Dick Dale and his band, Candy Johnson shakin' her chassis, some great shots of Annette, and Frankie Avalon gettin' it on....sounds great to me!! A really fine post--it brings back a lot of memories. This movie was what had gotten me into surfing at the Jersey shore in the mid-60s. Can't do it anymore, but as they say--I had a real fine time! Thanks!

HMMM. An amusing little Dick Dale number .. released as a novelty-type single (with "Secret Surfin' Spot" as the 'B' side). Corny lyrics but a classicly-great mid-song guitar riff from Dick. Seems clear that Dick was co-erced into appearing in this cheesy mid 60s Hollywood style typical pseudo so-called 'beach-movie' flick, & equally required to come up with these 2 'surf' tunes to include in the movie-filler. But - nonetheless - I'm a huge DD fanatic & I'll gladly take any DD song ever made !
