I am Chinese Malaysian. I strongly oppose Taiwan Independence and support for ONE-CHINA policy. We are all Chinese, why should we divided as Taiwanese or other terms. We are all Chinese people.

You are right. There should be only one China in the world. But Taiwan is not totally China. The people of Taiwan are not Chinese, even though they speak Mandarin Chinese.

YOu can imagine that American, Canadian, UK, Autralia people. They speak the same language, come from similar background, share most cultures, religions, thinkings, eduations. Why they have in different worlds, governments, countries?

Why Singapore seperated from Malaysia? Why East Timor seperated from Malaysia? Why North Korea and South Korea became two countries? These are just a few countries in Asia which became independent because their people wanted independent.

Talking about Taiwan, Taiwan is a fully democratic country. People have right, freedom of speech and press, freedom of education, religions, and everything like the US counterpart has, while China is a horrible communist, no freedom of speech, press, religions.

How come you push Taiwanese people to suffer all the things from China? Doing so, it is like pushing Taiwanese people to die.

Friend, Taiwan and Taiwanese people are so great. Taiwan is a very great island and Taiwanese people are so friendly, so smart, so hard-working, so helpful, so democratic, so creative.

Oh, really? Why can't there be two Chinas. Why are there two Koreas? European and US people are from the same race, Cocacian. Why there are US, UK, Canada, Australia and so on.

No matter you are the same Chinese or different Chinese, but Chinese have different thinkings and ideas. So it is a good idea to have two China: Communist China and Democratic China.

If Taiwan is in Canada, or Australia or USA then Taiwan can get independent .But Taiwan is at China. So cannot. Do you want California or New south Wales or Kyushu to get independent? Can you see the logic?

maybe the majority of us are ethnically chinese, but that does not mean we should live under one rule, especially not communist rule.

take australia for example, they were at ONE POINT a colony of Britain. the majority of australians and the english are ethnically indistinguishable. regardless, they are not controlled by the same government
