BumbleBee Yourself! by Ahreek Marshall and Mimi Kang:
now available at www.lulu.com

Ahreek Marshall is a musician, writer and artist from Los Angeles. He has played the guitar for acts such as The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Macy Gray, Sting, Mick Jagger and many others. This is his first book for children.

Mimi Kang is one groovy and talented young lady from Los Angeles.

This is her first time illustrating a children's book.

In this delightfully sweet and wise tale, a wonderful yet shy and insecure bumblebee has beecome seriously smitten with a beautiful flower. Fearing that this fantastically far-out feminine flower will not bee interested in him as he is, he makes the desperate decision to change himself into a completely different creature! Yet upon doing so and approaching her, he soon comes to the stinging realization that it is the thing he's transformed himself into that she's unimpressed with...for her heart had already been stolen...by the genuine bee that he was beefore! This perfectly poignant parable of self-love and acceptance is a timely reminder, in this day and age of distorted expectations and perceptions of what constitutes beauty and success, for children to simply bee themselves! With a bonus interactive section where kids can write and illustrate their own story.
