The Worcester Leveller 3rd October 2009

Here we see Thumper 1001 on 'The Worcester Leveller' railtour.

We begin proceedings with 1001 on 1Z27 Hastings to Worcester Shrub Hill at Cheltenham Spa with 2 little peeps on the whistle! It was running about 5 minutes late due to a Cross Country Voyager in front of it being delayed by 10 minutes!

We next see 1001 coming back into Worcester Shrub Hill from the storage sidings with an awesome 2tone! I only included that bit of the video I took due to the 2tone! I had to dry the lense as it decided to rain when the Thumper was in! We continue with some of my photos of 1001 whilst sitting in Worcester Shrub Hill, of not is one photo where the headcode is 82, it should have ready 28 and an enthusiast told the crew and it was quickly ammended.

Finally, bang on time at 16:33 1001 pulls away with 1Z28 with several fantastic 2tones and some nice thrash and clag, thanks driver!

A really awesome day in all!

Excellent stuff there. I was on the tour and the thrash through Cheltenham and away from Worcester was immense. Nicely captured.

Thanks, you were lucky then! It would have been nice if it had stopped at Cheltenham and there was a short range fare to travel,but you cant have everything!
