@QuickJabba dont wanna rip on u but that doesnt do jack for em. a lot of isometric contractions (holding at the top of the bar, preferably behind the neck to work on those traps) and explosive pull ups will do the trick. that is if u can already do 20 pull ups in a row.

If you can't do muscle ups, what are some ways to develop muscles that help you perform this excerise?

@helladark89 work the chest to bar pull ups really hard. it is way easier to do a muscle up if you are as explosive as you can be on the way up. to get the timing down for when to flip over, you can jump into the pull up just to get the feel. some dips here and there help as well
