The WAC Commissioner apologized to both Hawai'i and Louisiana Tech... and said steps would be taken to ensure it never happens again. Needless to say the replay official won't have a job any longer.

Rule 5-2-9. 'No rule decision may be changed after the ball is next legally snapped, legally free kicked or the second or fourth periods have ended.'
Once the ball was punted with 4th down showing by UH then it was not possible to change it.
