The first and last last image on here - 'Widow Of An Indian Chief'' by the great Derby artist, Joseph Wright. The Native American cause is one close to my heart, and I feel passionately about it.. It was also the favourite reggae track of my dear friend Kenneth, who died in 2005.. RIP..
One of Boris's lesser-known songs, but in my opinion, one of his greatest. The master of romantic reggae, although some would argue with this. I could listen to him all night - especially on a warm summer evening. Would love to see this released as part of a massive reggae revival in the UK.
John Holt and Ken Boothe could join in as well, if they wanted.. What a summer of music that would make for 2010!
"I know this feeling from somewhere
I know Ive been here before
The girl I love forever
Doesnt love me anymore
So here I am heartache
My only friend
Wrong end of the rainbow again.
I was lookin for true love
But I didnt get far
Before I tied all my heartstrings
To some falling star
So here I am heartache
My only friend...
Wrong end of the rainbow again.
Between the winning and losing
Theres a very fine line
This time I felt like a winner
But I was losin' all the time.....
Wrong end of the rainbow again..
I get this rainy day feeling
That Im gonna be blue
I thought the day I found her
Id seen the last of you
So here I am heartache
My only friend...
Wrong end of the rainbow again."
Many versions of this song - to me this is the greatest one.
Love one another...x
