  • its evening, and taps is played to signal the end of the day. you've heard of reville (beginning of duty day - 6:30 am) and retreat (end of duty day - 5pm) but taps is like bedtime

  • That is cool. Is it just done to signify the end of the day? The statue that is lit, is that the Marquette statue?

  • It's a recording put on by the Tea Room (run by Grand Hotel). It is in the front of the fort (you'd see yellow umbrellas in the day time) and plays at 10pm. Man, that brings back memories...
