Video showing two foxes stranded on a sandbank in the middle of Baldoyle Estuary, Dublin, Ireland. The video was shot over a period of a few of hours on 2nd January 2009. Eventually the sandbank was covered as the tide came in, forcing the foxes to swim to safety.

  • Did the second one get back to shore ? Nearly got trapped by a rising tide walking along the cliff shoreline outside Balbriggan . Nice steady image for such a long zoom .

  • @sailingwest. Actually, it is the second one that appears getting out of the water. I lost sight of the first one which was heading in the same direction. I can only presume (and hope!) that it made it out okay!
