Joseph Conrad Korzeniewski born on Ukraine but was Pole. His family was deported after the January Uprising of 1863–64 against imperial Russia, and was exiled to Vologda, a city some 300 miles (480 km) north of Moscow.

"Where all that money went" is of no consequesnce whatsoever.
I am almost halway through this video and the person being interviewed has said nothing whatsoever. He's talked a few times, but that's it. I just want to say I am personally offended by the shallowness of this discussion. I have paused the video halfway through, and I will, after I finish this comment, unpause and listen to the rest. I hope I am not offended any more.

"Ukrainian-born" hahahha, I "love" when americans write about European things, especially those in the east. Ok "writerly", let me explain You... If someone was born on 3 December 1857 in Berdychiv it means that he was born in Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth occupied/partioned by Russia. And If Berdychiv today is in Ukraine it surely doesn't mean that someone born 150 years ago he was "ukrainian-born". Btw. Ukraine exist since 1991... Please don't ridicule yourself, especially if you're an EP...

Glad you enjoyed the video. "Heart of Darkness" is an amazing novella and Conrad a fascinating character.
