good enough, to be able to manipulate the definitions of words for an entire culture of people devoted to a group of men, not God. Good enough, but not an excellent Translation by Christian standards. You should strive for the very best, and the JW's have not done so with this translation. To the point where they won't even tell you who put the words together. It's not special, they are not Chosen and they will be revealed as such.

I spent so many years learning about other peoples religious beliefs (Hell fire, Trinity, etc) that I didn't do proper research about the belief's unique to the Witnesses. As a ex-witness Bro. Franz provided insights from a 'witness' perspective. One can not talk away his extensive history / service in the org. at all levels. I always stated in the Field ministry that IF someone could prove my beliefs wrong that I would have to change them. Little did I know that it would take a JW to do that!

Omg if that's the " truth"about the NWT than we have been mislead! I can relate his comment to this simple concept if the university offered a Spanish class and I find out the teacher had only two years training in Spanish,I would know that that particular teacher could only teach me Spanish 101 or 102 but definitely not the entire language !!!!

I'm reading 'crisis of conscience' (about half way done), I was appalled at the GB decision about the Mexico/Malawi thing. That just adds more to my reason for not ever being a member again! I consider the WBTS(post Russell era) to be blood guilty not only from the political card/military certificate incidence, but also because of the medical issues concerning: blood transfusions,organ transplants, forbidding vaccines and who knows what else!

dirkmadden1, I also love the NIV it's much less wordy than the NWT; it gets right to the point in just a few sentences.

That translation has poor grammar and is difficult to comprehend at times. The NIV is far more superior.

Many of us are so disillusioned after being so completely lied to, it is hard to trust any "organization" after that. It isn't that we aren't still seeking God. We have just become very wary of men.

Don't get me wrong I'm still Searching for truth that's why I'm watching videos like yours. However, most Christians are flawed and are following man made doctrines and traditions..I also find that most ex jw's do not turn to another church because they know other churches are also contradict the bible
