Beautiful song! although I understand very little Arabic but I can feel the passion for her beloved Lebanon in her voice. One of the comment suggested that the song was sung during the civil unrest in Lebanon, being a Pakistani married to beautiful lebanees wife I can relate to that. unfotunately Pakistan is also going through tough times these days.May Allah keep both of my beloved countries in peace.
Lebanon must become the epicentre of the whole arab world when I listen to this song! Although Im from Turkey;-) Lets create the United States of Arabia, USA, with Lebanon as the main capitol??!!!
You have singers and you have El set Feyrouz. No one can compare 2 her voice en love she brings in her songs. She sung it in damascus, and all the syrian people addore her. Not only the syrian and lebanse people but the whole arab world. Allah galak feyrouz oe ma galak metla. Rabna ytawel 3mrek ya set feyrouz.
A shame that the same Fairuz who sang this song agreed to go and sing in Damascus, hideout of her Homeland's executioneer : Assad's Gang, who had just assasineted the best thinkers, lawmakers, journalists ever produced by Lebanon & Arabs. By agreeing such a betrayal Fairuz simply stabbed Lebanon in its very heart infinitely more than a 1000 year of appalling tragedies.
The fuss is that the song was made during the 1976 civil war and her voiced expressed like no one a resurrection of all the good things about being Lebanese and having Lebanon as our beloved country if you are not Lebanese and did not live this you will not understand how she mastered spiritual expressions in her voice that made her a Goddess for ever over Lebanese people and their Lebanon and all the Arab world who understand Arabic.
fairuz is the best singer ever!! I love lebnan. I wanna go back:( shta2telak ya lebnan. this song really made me cry. sarli 8 snen bel 5erbe w bedi erja3 3a lebnan. Lebnan ma fi metla bi kel eldine!! <33 you lebnan!
