@bigtoepfer kei cars are 660cc 0.66 liter engines while the bB is usually 1.3 liter, so the bB is called a compact car in Japan. Kei cars are a little smaller & the engines are half the size so they don't have much power unless turbocharged. Kei cars are popular in Japan because it is so crowded & narrow so smaller is better & cheaper, plus you don't need to go very fast as everything you need is close by anyways.
