After a whole day of 46 degrees and ember attacks on my house the smoke clears with the southerly wind change which opened up the fire front across the mountain range of bunyip state forest and gave me a chance to film this

  • they closed gentle annie after this, dad was devo he couldnt go riding up in labertouche anymore :s

  • I bet ya never heard that Warragul was gonna be burnt to the ground if one of the bigger fires didnt change directions. It was predicted early that if the fires got close enough the embers would be blown by the wind or a massive fire would break out and would be unstoppable. Im not exactly sure but there was a map that the CFA had in Warragul and the entire of Warragul would have been burnt if the wind hadnt changed directions.

  • my dad lives in Drouin South..

  • You are so lucky.

  • gosh i looked at these comments i cant beleive it was only 5 months ago, the fires were so terribe, the CFA and emergancy services did such a fantastic job, it is so sad, but the cfa website said that there will be more fires and possibly worse, its scary, i hope everybody is ok, i wouldnt wish it on anyone to be as scared as i was watching the fires from my house, i thank the Lord the wind changed, good luck to everybody affected, and good luck for next fire season
