How do you do the shading for the shirt and the face without messing with the other graphics? For example at 5:40, you add the shading but it doesn't interfere with the drawing itself. Is it on another layer? If so, how can you see what's under it?

what are the settings on your brush?

@MrBobbymcBobbers I use the second. The one after the smallest. And I zoom in and out to change line weight. I don't like to flip through settings.
