Watch, in 64 glorious colors, the opening intro to Capcom's Super Street Fighter II on the Sega Genesis. It has one more frame of animation than the SNES version, but terrible sound.

  • I loved Genesis version even though 3DO version is high quality on the fact.

  • @doujindance While I own all Street Fighter games and versions, what irked me about the 3DO version was the loose controls (not bad, just a smidge looser than the Genesis/SNES versions), kind of high-treble voices, no QSound in the sound effects, flat backgrounds, and some faded colors. Still, it NEVER took away from the experience. I like the Genesis version for the solid backgrounds, completeness of game, and extremely tight controls.

  • i mean "playing"! sorry bout that my keyboard isn't working rite, well that n i forget to check my spelling. :) As 4 the MD/SNES comparison, I never meant to say that u said it was weak but the SNES music ans sound effects are better than the Genesis. But hell, I'm a Genesis fan til the end!

  • @dnmstarsi me 2

  • I don't care what people say about the MD version of this. I grew up laying street fighter b/c of this!

  • @dnmstarsi "Laying"?

Hey, I love the Genesis version myself; I don't hate the SNES version at all. I own both these versions. Again, I acknowledge the Genesis sound processor is weak, I never said the game was weak. To me, the Genesis version is the complete game.

  • @XxsinyxxX I strongly dissagree with you. I really liked the Genesis version better than SNES actually. Thats just my opinion though and you have yours as well.

  • Honestly, the sound was worse in this game than Special Editon for Genesis.

  • @coffee4binky I mean "playing"(broken keyboard) And I didn't mean to say that u said it was weak and as for the Genesis the sound did suck compared to the SNES but I grew up playing the Genesis ver. that I got used to the weak sound processor. :)

  • i had it made my parents owned an arcade LOL

  • @eidairman1 Actually, the 6-button controller was designed for a bunch of games, after developers licensed by Sega, demanded it. Capcom signed a deal with Sega to make a version of Street Fight II only if Sega released the 6-button controller before release. Street Fighter II': Special Champion Edition was released in July 1993, the controller was released in May in test markets, June nationwide. Mortal Kombat was also another game pushing for the controller's development.

  • @Charmancer This version of the game, be it SNES, Genesis, or DOS, doesn't have any sound test. You must've played a non-Super version.
