Thank you, fantastic video. Finally someone put up this "mysterious" information. I've wondered how people do this type of creating/playing for a long time. How do you find the root/one melody note if you don't know it ahead of time? Thanks again.

@wesmont4 There are a few tricks to determining the "root" note of a melody. It's where the song sounds most at rest. So use your ear. Also, it's often the final note of the melody line. Knowing the whole-step / half-step interval structure of a major scale is naturally very helpful when determining not just the root note, but the other notes of a melody line.

Good job. You put a lot of effort in this video. I have a hard time understanding how it all works, but that is me. Not the lesson. I think I need to look at it a few more times.
