Und 2008 ???

Dutallee!
Dutallee!
Dutallee!
Dutallee!

And when soldiers came
Them say them come to make us tame
And from that day until now on
We were jeered and laughed to scorn

Things used to be ire (before the soldiers came)
Things used to be nice, so nice now
Things used to be ire
Things used to be nice, so nice

Our country them did enter, yeah
Troops trodding left right and centre
Everywhere
One moment at peace with Nature
Now victims of a massacre
We got our spears
We got our shields
But their guns were greater
Prepare for a slaughter

Give I back I witch doctor
Give I back I Black Ruler
Me no want no dictator
Me no want no tyrant on yah

Dutallee!
Dutallee!
Dutallee!
Dutallee!

Way down in Africa
Where the backra still rules day after day
The Black Man is suffering now far more
Than when he was a slave
Is there a need for war?
No.
Peace my bredren - here them bawl
Bodies in mutilated condition
Faces scarred beyond recognition
Is this what civilization means to me?
Then without it I prefer to be
So...

Give I back I witch doctor
Give I back I Black Ruler
Me no want no dictator
Me no want no tyrant on yah

Dutallee!
Dutallee!
Dutallee!

  • OUTSTANDING!!! MORE LOVE thanks for posting!

  • @molinmusic thank you. Watching some stuff on your channel, i think you understood what i wanted to express with this video.

    Be blessed and sheltered

    Eduard

  • Very well done, Eduard! A look at the human side is much needed during this most trying period.

    Moosie

  • hey, Moosie,

thank you very much for posting "Tools of War" as a response.

Think its very good and important to connect what bases on the same message.

Just have a look on "Things have changed", the video i reponded this to.

Its also a great video on the theme

  • soldiers, are only a part of human been , the worst part of course

  • first of all they are humans like me and you.

and since i came into talk with some of them, i have more respect than ever !

The really bad ones are the Governments abusing and misleading the young generation of their country

  • Wow, major FAIL!! This song is condemning soldiers and this person decides to make a tribute to american soldiers...listen to the lyrics my friend.

  • The meaning of this song is totally different than what you may think...

    Lmao...

  • Since the video is a photo album of U.S. issued propaganda, it makes no sense when played along with the music. Does the author understand the message in Steel Pulse's song, or is just another fun reggae song to smoke weed to? The video would make sense if - for example - we had photos of a village before and after the U.S. soldiers visited.

Without a doubt, the best way you can serve your (over-militarized) country in the 21st century is to stay out of the military.

  • @derfla5 so true! not just a major fail, but a profound fail since it takes at least a minute to absorb.

  • exactly no roots will ever be in favor of babylon soldiers

  • You can grab the audio-mp3 of this video at fromvideotomp3 doht cohm.

  • the best reggae sond ...ever !

  • Music written a long time ago, relevant then, just as relevant today! Now that's music, that's art! This world needs more artists today like Steel pulse, keeping it real, unlike the shallow pop culture of music today!

  • wow - a picture speaks a thousand words - a picture with music, a million - a picture with music and lyrics speaks a billion - this is multi billion. well done -
