Lucky you didn't get hurt O_O

Yep its not a balsa model. This is an intricate model that must be perfect before flight.

@SkeyeDreamer Hundreds of dollars, eh? That's a Trex 450 and the replacement parts are very reasonable and there's not as much damage as you might think from looking at the video. I've seen guys in my heli club slam 450's into the ground at high speed and they were back up and running by the following weekend for less than $100. (Not including any taco'd packs, of course.) Not a big deal.

Kinda feel bad for the guy. :( It's very discouraging to have something like that happen on your first go.

Great work! you managed to edit out the actual crash!
would it be good to just wait 2 seconds after the crash before
rewinding and freezing? just a thought.

What ever happened was he forgot to tighten a screw. Very tipical with seniors missing screwes with these small helis. I see it all the time when they come in the shop. Oh, and plz lay off the booze while setting up helis.

The blade pulled apart at the mounting hole. He bought cheep blades off of Ebay. They do not hold up.
