Destruction by fire of a Range Rover at the Tulip Hotel, Oosterhout- 15th Dec 2008

Thrilling footage of a Range Rover ( plus an adjacent small family car, also some bushes) being consumed by fire on the evening of 15th December 2008 in the car park of the Tulip Hotel, Oosterhout, Netherlands. ( near Breda) The fire fighters demonstrated a great awareness of Health and Safety issues. The spectators, less so.

What particularly impressed me- as a Brit- was that less than 1 hour after this footage was taken, the crowd has dispersed, the fire engine had gone and even the burnt out shells of the vehicles had been removed.

Is there a lot of plastic in them? - I was surprised that the rear door had been completely burned up. There were also some components around the front of the car ( headlight area) which seemed to contain magnesium or something because the firemen had a HELL of a job putting them out.

It couldn't have happened to a nicer 4x4.

Nice touch turning the camera on the idle gloaters!!
