We left in the morning from Waycross-Ware County Airport (KAYS). The gyrocopter (RAF 2000) flew formation with me (Kolb Mark II Twinstar). It took us an hour and fifteen minutes to get to the Vidalia airport (KVDI). The RV-9 got there in no time. It is a fast plane! The show was great, and we had lots of fun showing off our experimental/homebuilt airplanes. It took us an hour and a half to get back. With the headwind our groundspeed crawled around 44 mph. But it was such a gorgeous evening I enjoyed the pace. We were sure glad to have my wings to sit under. It was a sunny, hot day!
