@breadrack Ain't it funny how most people remember the specs of the PC that they first played Doom on? Mine was a Packard Bell 486DX2/50 w/4Mb RAM, a 450Mb HDD, a 14" monitor, an Aztech Sound Galaxy SB-clone, and an extremely generic SVGA card..
I'm not even sure of the specs of my current PC, and I built it myself...PC technology is just too fragmented to keep up with nowadays, it's not as simple as it was in the '90s :(

this was the 1st PC game i ever played on my OWN computer, got it with the sb16 multimedia kit (2x reveal matashita cd drive, sb16 isa card, cheapie 2$ speakers... and 2 cd's of shareshit)
Man, if it wasnt for freebie episode of doom and other games in shareware format i dont think i would have bothered with computers. To this day there is nothing to match the likes of DOOM.
COOL!

These demos are great. It singlehandedly taught me how to play Doom properly. I spent several years trying to imitate the guy's (John Romero maybe) movements
