NHRA Top Fuel Dragster Morgan Lucas and Steve Faria Explosions Las Vegas 2010

Morgan Lucas driving the Geico/ Lucas nitro dragster & Steve Faria driving the System 1 car both suffered engine explosions on Saturday Night qualifying run on Oct 30th, 2010 at the Las Vegas Nationals. The view is from the 100 ft mark in the spectator stands... thanks to the track monitor for catching the rest.

Came over from the UK to see this. It was good but alot of oildowns was unusual.

@alvin5516 Sorry...Missed your comment somehow but thanks for watching and your vid. Fri qualifying ran pretty smooth I thought but yes, Saturday qual was brutal with oildowns. I left at 8 pm on Sat and was told they didn't shut the track down until around 11 pm to get caught up and ready for Sunday main event. But I was there for the entire event and even with delays it was still awesome!
