The date was February 1st, 1969. The Professional Bowler's Association held a national tournament at Saratoga Lanes, a bowling establishment situated in San Jose, California. In the opening match, Johnny Guenther barely edged out 5th seeded contestant Buzz Fazio. Here's part 1 of the 2nd match. Johnny's next opponent was Don Johnson. Something very special occurs in this match. Watch and find out!
With Don Johnson being the model good-guy, admired by his peers, and a model of what most parents would hope their kids emulate, why does the PBA now give so much favorable press and attention to the jerks? They did it with Marshal, they did it with Pete, they're doing it with Rash (appropriate name, btw). Shame, really. I only wish Johnson could've been cloned for every generation of professional bowler to have an example.

Yes, thanks for supplying the footage. Its great to see how bowling was played the past compared to the way it's played now. The ball return has a lot fewer balls and they all threw the ball pretty much straight which contrasts many bowlers today.
