the only thing i never understood about the original GB series was that Egon was blonde and had a ponytail was the cartoon made before the movie? because somebody fucked up with that

They wanted Egon to look different from Harold Ramis so they wouldn't have to pay him for using his image. It's the same reason they redesigned all the ghostbusters for the cartoon.

That's all we needed. The fearsome four. I never liked the new recruits. They show just didn't work for me. They should have just had the show be the return of the Ghostbusters. Being a little older and wiser like they did in "Back In The Saddle". I wish Straczynski and co. from the "The Real Ghostbusters" would come back and reboot the show. If they came back, there wouldn't be anything stopping them from bringing the Ghostbusters to kids in this generation. One can dream I guess...

Thank you for this video... I AGREE!!! This show SOULD'VE been the triumphant return of the REAL Ghostbusters!! They're dynamic works for a show... not a bunch of OVER-THE-TOP, condesending, KIDS !!! Hopefully someday in the future we will get a NEW animated Ghostbusters adventure re-uniting the original team, leaving this scar on the franchise's history in the dust, and long forgotten. As a LIFE-LONG, HARDCORE, GB fan... I don't even begin to consider "E" or "XGB" (uh! what a title!), CANON !!!

@chuckmcberry It matched the times, the original would just be too sugary, especially for the tone of the show. I liked it. The original theme is great, but this fits IMHO.
