Downtown Lafayette, Louisiana is more than a business center. Nestled between office buildings one can find Art Galleries, Restaurants, Nite Clubs and Bars. During Spring and Fall the streets are closed off for Downtown Alive - Cajun and Zydeco bands bring in the crowds. The Festival International de Louisiane is held here every year around April/May. What a great video, it has brought back some wonderful memories for me of Lafayette ,I'm from Ireland and lived in lafayette for 2 years back in the 1990's and all I can say is that Lafayette is beautiful city with wonderful people and is a real credit to all...........I miss the gumbo!!

@sammyc252 I have settled in this area (originally from South Africa) and agree with you, the people are wonderful. I work in Jefferson Street (in the Chase Tower, you will know it as FNB Tower). Lafayette is so beautiful. Now if we can just remove all of the soulless giant corporations that could eventually destroy the natural beauty and culture of Lafayette. Seriously.
