  • Put that engine in a Corvalis 400 and you have a real nice airplane!

  • While that would seem to work well, unfortunatly the Corvalis is not pressurized as is this aircraft. The engine is most efficient at FL270 or FL280. At that altitude I see 310 knots TAS burning 31 gph.

  • its called a turbo prop!

  • I agree. Lancair named this model the Lancair Projpjet to differ it from the IVP.

  • Is that a PT-6 or a Walter?

  • It is a Walter 601D

  • Wow, that thing takes off like a rocket! What is the best climb rate you've seen? 4,000 ft /min +?

  • @bbrmotosports it can be called a jet prop too look at the new extra

  • What a mean little flying beast! I like the lumbering gait - looks funny but isn't to be tampered with.

  • epic machine! i envy you :D

  • Sounds Excellent !

  • PADC in Manila Phils assembled piston engined ES320 for the PNP, don't know if they're still flying them...

  • lol ill take one of those!!

  • @ljackso Much, much rather have a IV. why anyone in the world would buy a combolia is beyond me. 620,000 for a 200kt airplane? Versus a 310 knot IV?

  • Okay, the beginning of the video is one way to commute to work if the runway was a road. Camera man, when panning a fast moving object, don't look through the viewfinder, you will lose your object you are trying to film. Either look just above the camera like you would a rifle or look beside the camera and follow your object. Hope this will help you become more skilled in filming.

  • it is only a matter of time Cessna will cease production of the COL
