The reply to the question re: whereabouts of the "New Bomba" is yes. It is located in Finland near Nurmes. The original Bomba House was in Suojarvi in Eastern Karelia (Suojarvi was lost to Russia after the Second world War) which was my father's family home. The Nurmes Bomba House is an approximate replica of an original one - used a hotel/conference center.

@sirkka592 There is a Bomba House near a town called Nurmes in Northern Karelia, but is in Finland not Russia. The house depicts the style of living in Karelia. Is it the house where your father was raised? But it is in Finnish territory.

Sibeliuksen työt ovat suurimmaksi osaksi hirveän tylsiä, mutta tässä on mahtipontisuutta.

This piece of music reminds me of Karelia and my family's roots. Sibelius visited my father's home, Bomba House, in Suojarvi eastern Karelia which was lost to Russia after the Second World War. My father had been a young boy when Sibelius arrived with another artist, Jarnefelt. Bomba House was built in a traditional Karelian style of round logs without using any nails. They stayed for a couple of nights and enjoyed the hospitality of a Karelian family.
